Paws Spay/Neuter Voucher Program covers part of the cost of the pet sterilization surgery for dogs and cats to pet owners in the Las Vegas area in need of financial assistance due to low-income, age, health, and hardship in an effort to help decrease the pet overpopulation problem.

Process
Click here to fill out and submit a Pet Owner Assitance form, or you may Pet Owner Application and e-mail it to info@pawslv.org or fax it to (702) 666-0105. Within 2 weeks you will be notified by e-mail if your application is approved. If approved, you will also receive a voucher that is valid for 30 days. The voucher will provide the contact information for the clinic, please call the clinic to set up an appointment. When you call, let them know you have a PAWS voucher. On the day of your appointment, please bring in the printed voucher certificate and proof of vaccinations if they are current. The voucher will state the co-pay that you will pay directly to the clinic on the day of surgery. Vaccinations are not included but can be purchased at a discount during your visit. Cat Spay/Neuter Co-pays
$30 for male or female and includes vaccines (FVRCP) and rabies
Dog Spay/Neuter Co-pay
$30 Male dog neuter up to 100 pounds (additional $30 to include vaccines (DA2PPV) and rabies)
$40 Female dog spay up to 70 pounds (additional $30 to include vaccines (DA2PPV) and rabies)
Pitbulls and Chihuahuas (purebred): $50 and includes vaccines (DA2PPV) and rabies
Surgery includes pre-anesthetic exam, IV catheter, anesthetic monitoring and all pain medication pre-& post operative, and nail trim. Co-pays shown below are for pets 4 months to 5 years old and additional fees apply for pregnancy, dogs in heat, hernias, and males over 100 pounds and females over 70 lbs. Co-pays are paid directly to the clinic at time of surgery. Additional fees or services that may be required/recommended by the veterinarian (such as fecal exam, bloodwork, etc) or that you would like for your pet (such as microchip implant) are not covered under this program and can be arranged directly with the veterinary clinic at your own cost.
* Approval and the receipt of a voucher does not guarantee your pet will receive the spay/neuter surgery. It is up to the veterinarian to decide if the surgery is suitable for your pet.

You will be notified by e-mail or phone within 2 weeks. The voucher will include the clinic’s information that will be performing your pet’s surgery. The voucher is valid for 60 days.
- Upon receiving the voucher, please call the veterinarian office listed to schedule appointment.
- Bring in printed voucher, proof of your pet’s immunizations (if current), and co-pay.
